Veteran Service Officers
Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) are available in every town and city across Western Massachusetts. They provide free, personalized assistance with applying for benefits, filing VA claims, and connecting to healthcare, housing, mental health, and other local support services.

Community Health Centers
Veterans can receive care through local Community Health Centers, which offer primary care, behavioral health services, and support for chronic conditions. These centers serve individuals regardless of insurance status.

Housing
Veterans experiencing housing instability can access a range of supports—from emergency shelter and transitional programs to permanent housing and rental assistance. These services are designed to support every veteran in getting a safe and stable place to call home.
Home Loans and Housing Assistance
- VA Home Loan Program: Helps veterans purchase, build, or refinance a home with favorable loan terms and conditions.
- Adapted Housing Grants: Financial assistance for veterans with service-connected disabilities to modify their homes for improved accessibility.
- Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH): Combines HUD housing vouchers with VA case management and supportive services to help veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness find and maintain stable housing.
