Get Support With Your Needs

Below are organizations that can help you and your family pay for food and find local food options.

The SNAP Outreach Team at the Food Bank of Western MA can help you find out if you qualify for SNAP, assist you with the application and answer any questions about the program.

Call their SNAP line at 413-992-6204 or complete their SNAP referral form and someone will call you back.

The Food Assistance Navigation program at the Food Bank of Western MA helps individuals find local food pantries, community meal sires, and other community resources.

On 413Cares, click “Contact" or "Refer” and submit a referral form.
You can also reach a food navigator at 413-206-6276.

The Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) provides pregnancy, nutrition, and breastfeeding support. A WIC card can be redeemed at participating grocery stores and pharmacies for nutritious foods and infant formula/baby foods.

2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 10 - 11AM at 50 Broadway St.
Lorraine's Mobile Food Pantry
Monday - Thursday from 4 - 5PM at various locations in Chicopee. View their location schedule.

Meals

Community meal sites offer free meals to individuals and families.

Lorraine's Soup Kitchen & Pantry provides free meals to those without access to basic food services.

Meals are distributed Monday through Friday from 4 - 6PM

Casa de Paz y Restauración (CPR) has a Soup Kitchen And Resource Center that provides free meals along with support for jobs, housing, resume building, and more.

Food for Elders

The Food Bank's Brown Bag for Elders program provides a free bag of healthy groceries to eligible seniors once a month at local senior centers and community organizations. The Brown Bag program is for people over the age of 55 who meet certain income eligibility.

Visit their website to download an application and mail it to the Food Bank.

The RiverMills Council on Aging (COA) offers $2 lunches Monday-Friday from 11 - 12PM on site. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance by calling 413-534-3698 or stopping by RiverMills.

RiverMills can provide rides for healthcare appointments, banking, shopping, and trips to the center.
